The New York Legal Assistance Group provides free civil representation to those who cannot afford private attorneys. They help with financial counseling, matrimonial and family law, and other areas, and also offer free mediation services.
The New York City Family Justice Center provides a variety of services to help victims: case managers for help with safety planning and other needs, counselors and psychiatrists, lawyers, officers and prosecutors for help and information, financial assistance and referrals, and child care services.
